We're sitting here in a internet cafe on the island of Koh Tao where my flip flops are placed out the front door and people are wading through the flooded street because of the tropical downpours that we've been experiencing all morning. The girls and I have been having the best time here this past week and a half. Just a quick overview goes alot like this... We met up in Bangkok and quite literally spent the first day talking. Oh the joys of seeing old friends you hadn't seen in a while. Since we've been here we've been in "Backpacker land". So after spending a night out on Kao San road with the rest of our gluttenous westerners that are everywhere in Thailand we caught a bus down to the jumping off point to head to Koh Phangan for the half moon party. After a long travel day we finally got to Hat Rin beach where the party NEVER stops! I've nicknamed Koh Phangan the blacklight island, anything goes here, no holds bar and you probably will find yourselve wearing something 80's and covered in fluro paint. Matter a fact- I can't get the paint out of my hair even now. We met a ton of people, (mostly english, and mostly there to party).
Ugh-this is getting long and boring. Just going to either write discriptive words from now on and but photos up so that you can guess whats going on for yourselve.
Heat, Humidity, Sweat, 100 baht happy hour, dancing, fire dancing, bugs, no sleep but feeling good, motorbikes, Laura's 25th birthday, snorkeling, sunburn, private island, photos, 7 Eleven, Fan bunglow, road side jewlery, stray dogs, divers, English people, making friends with thai boys, laughs, Pad Thai, no toliet paper, writing on the walls of a Bob Marley bar in fluro paint, hugs, new friends, swimming, eating, fun.
Sorry this was fairly uninteresting. I'll put up photos later. "It be better" as the thai's say.
"Watermelon must be what the angels eat."
Ps. This was written about a week ago. We're now in Laos, update soon.

So, I Elise, am about to embark on one of hopefully many more travel adventures. I've never had a blog before, therefore I can't guarantee that it'll be interesting, used, spelled correctly, grammatically correct, socially appropriate, an "over share" or an "under share" for that matter, violent, a whine fest, or really that anyone will look at it at all. But nonetheless, I'll try and remember to keep it updated as to my whereabouts.
Thailand, (where I've actually already been) should expect me at the ridiculous time of midnight on the 13th of November but since Bangkok is famously the city that never sleeps, it'll be fine. Perhaps I'll spend my first night singing the classic 80's tune "One night in Bangkok." Which, if I'm being honest, I'll probably be singing most of the time anyways. There I meet up with three other of my favorite girlfriends. Watch out! We're going to set this country on fire. From there we'll head south to the islands for the full moon party on Ko Pha ngan. But beyond that, who knows. I'll update you when I get there...
